Join us for a paired reading of Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Both short novels explore issues of race and immigration in the context of the African continent. The Kickoff session will provide an introduction and background to both novels. Books will be provided free of charge by the library and Book Club members will decide on the final discussion date in August.

Happy Trees & Monstrosities

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Take a tired old painting and make it about a million times monsterizing it! The library will supply the paintings: classic landscapes, portraits, and more. You can make them amazing by adding a monster or your own sense of style. Want to see examples? Check out this article
