Minecraft Build Competition: Summer Edition

This is the summer edition of our popular Minecraft Build Competition! Play for fun or compete in our themed Build Competition. The library will have a limited number of computers and tablets available for use during the program - players are encouraged to bring their own device.

The Zaniac Science Show

With the energy of 1,000 suns, the Zaniac Science Show with Alex Zerbe will entertain and educate. The Zaniac shines likes a comedy beacon as he bounces from one end of the stage to the other. Learn about science through this unique and energetic show.

Build It with Roominate Village


Tuesday, August 15th, 2:30 - 3:30 pm or 4:00 - 5:00 pm
Wednesday, August 16th, 10:15 - 11:15 am or 11:45 am - 12:45 pm
 
Roominate's unique blend of building, circuitry, design, and storytelling teaches kids while they play. Encourage your young inventor with Roominate. This hands-on workshop will empower kids to create using motors, circuits, modular furniture, and more.

The Roominate kit is provided by the Washington State Library, in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services, as a resource to help enrich Washington state communities through the libraries that serve them.
